Lived Experience Accessing Peers

If you are interested in health and social care administration, supporting people in recovery, this role could be for you.

We are looking for a volunteer who is confident, enthusiastic and non-judgemental, capable of interacting with people with varying levels of vulnerability and need.

The main part of the role involves talking with peer group members on a one to one basis, asking questions about their wellbeing and recording their answers to our Views database.

It is essential you are capable of using Microsoft Word, are understanding, open minded with excellent communication and literacy skills with experience of providing administrative support.

With the ethos of co-production (hope and recovery) at the heart of this project, you would be part of a team who encourage Peer Leaders to identify their strengths and use these when planning and interacting with their respective groups.

Supervision and training will be provided, and after a successful probationary period you will be able to access the same online learning of 51 courses we provide for our staff and Peer Leaders.

Travelling is needed, with groups currently located in Tower Hamlets and Newham, and a new group soon to start in Redbridge; out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

We are based in Newham by the Royal Albert docks, five minutes walk from the DLR, where we have our training room and office with four new workstations, and remote access computing enables access wherever we are.
