Our staff, volunteers and committee members are committed to supporting people with mental health needs and to providing a highly responsive and flexible service which meets the needs of people from a wide range of communities.
Service users are at the heart of our organisation. We are committed to being open, honest and transparent in the work we do with clients. We believe that mental health services should be accessible to all and we strive to enable all communities to access our services.
We believe that people with personal experience of mental health and emotional needs often have the best strategies to keep well and manage their recovery. Working collaboratively and in partnership with people we will enable our services to be responsive and effective.
We do not believe that a ‘one size fits all’. Our approach is to respond and react to individuals needs and to tailor our support around each individual. Signposting to alternative organisations is also essential and we regularly review our services to ensure that they remain appropriate and relevant.
Mind in Tower Hamlets and Newham is an independent third sector organisation. We are fearless in our approach and are willing to campaign for service users. We are proactive within our communities and aim to be an influential voice within the Local Authorities, the NHS and the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) on behalf of our client group
We will not stop campaigning for better mental health services and access for those who need it, and to actively promote mental health reducing the stigma and discrimination facing people.
We endeavour to explore all avenues and alternative solutions to develop services that enable our clients to thrive and recover.
