Mental Health Support Services
We offer a wide range of mental health support services within Tower Hamlets and Newham. With a strong focus on recovery and building resilience, we enable people to remain in their homes, get back into work and get back on their feet.

Becoming pregnant or being a new mum is a life changing experience for all women. Pregnancy and new motherhood is often imagined to be a time of happiness and excitement. However, for many women it can be a difficult, lonely, exhausting and stressful experience.
Mums Matter is a new service coming to MiTHN to provide pregnant women and new mums with a supportive group where they can learn positive wellbeing techniques and speak with people in a similar position. There will be a creche service provided.

Working in partnership with 8 local organisations we offer one to one support and groups across Tower Hamlets. We aim to improve the outcomes and life chances for people living with mental health challenges. We provide a number of different services to suit your needs. These are:

Who can access and use Inspire Services
Any resident of Tower Hamlets who may be experience mental health issues can access Inspire services. You can self-refer, or be referred by health professionals such as GPs, social workers or the community mental health team.
You can use any number of services at any time, depending on what your needs are.

Community Engagement Newham offers a fantastic range of activities to support Newham residents and boost their wellbeing. These are fun and supportive opportunitie to develop skills, find support and make friends. Groups include creative writing, mindfulness and opportunities to be a peer volunteer.
Looking for advice about your personal drug and alcohol use, or concerned about someone alse?
RESET is a free service offerred to residents in Tower Halets to help reduce their alcohol and/or drug dependency.
The RESET Outreach and Referral Service is run by Providence Row in partnership with Mind in Tower Hamlets and Newham and Thames Reach.

What do we offer?
- A route into drug and alcohol services in the Borough, from our centre near Brick Lane
- Information and advice on the risks of drugs and alcohol from our highly trained advisors
- Reset keyworkers will provide community and street outreach work, through groups, one to one keywork and at other local centres
- Signposting to other services who can help, both in and outside the local borough
- An onsite and a mobile needle exchange service.

This service provides structured drug and alcohol treatment and sipports people to become free from substance dependency and sustain long term recovery while reducing harm.
2. Recovery Support Service - Based at the Jagonari Centre, 183-185 Whitechapel Rd, E1 1DN. Tel: 020 3889 9510
This service offers a range of services including group day programmes, counselling, accommodation support and signposting, education, training and employment support/signposting, parenting and family peer support, peer led recovery support and complementary therapies.
We offer a series of CBT based courses that help to build and strengthen coping skills. In the past year we have helped over 100 people to increase their coping and problem solving skills. 70% of people using this service report feeling more positive about their life. Clients can self-refer or be referred by a healthcare professional. We offer services covering anger management, anxiety management, coping wtih depression, assertiveness, coping with stress and self-esteem - see our leaflet.
